Bright ripe black raspberries combined with sweet natural vanilla
Our candles and tarts are all hand crafted and hand poured using all natural soy wax. Soy wax offers a variety of benefits and advantages over regular paraffin wax candles. They are made from soy beans, an all natural and renewable resource. They burn cleaner, slower and longer than regular candles and have a much higher scent throw. This means longer lasting, stronger smelling candles!
Most candles on the market are made from paraffin or contain a blend of soy and paraffin. We only use all natural soy in our candles. Why? Check out the Benefits of a soy candle...
Clean Burning- Soy wax is nontoxic and burns cleaner than paraffin, with no petrol-carbon soot which can blacken walls, ceiling and furniture, contaminate ventilation ductwork in your home and add toxic carcinogens into the air you breathe.Basically, the black stuff you see billowing from the candle and covering theglass comes from the wax itself. Yuck!
Highly Scented - Soy candles hold on to scent well, creating a pure scent. Because they burn slowly, the scent is gradually and continuously released. Soy candles give off a strong scent without even being lit!
Long Burning - Soy candles burn slower and cooler than paraffin wax, creating a longer burning candle. This means a candle than can last up to twice as long as the popular paraffin brands!
Supports Our Economy - Buying soybean products creates important economic growth for the agricultural sector of the US economy. And, of course, SageBerry Candles are handcrafted and poured by us, which means your purchase helps support a local small business.
The first time you light a SageBerry Candle, don't trim your wick as it is already the ideal length. It is important to always give them a good first burn. Ideally you want the liquefied wax to have reached the inside ring of the glass jar. Typically, soy candles should burn 1 hour per inch in diameter. This is usually 3-4 hours for our signature jar candles.
Our candles are made with all cotton wicks that are designed to “mushroom”. Trim your wicks after each burn, but not too short. (only trim the “carbon ball” off the end.)
If you trim your wick too short, or it has broken off at the base of your candle, your flame may be weak or may drown out. Don’t fret, extinguish the flame and pour off some of the excess liquid wax into a safe container, then relight.
